1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and CVPilot regarding your use of the website at cvpilot.xyz and the related CV enhancement service (the "Service"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to use CVPilot. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Let us know promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the CVs and information you upload or create ("Your Content"). You grant CVPilot a limited licence to store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you — including parsing, enhancing, generating exports, and, where you choose, publishing your CV at a public link.

You confirm that you have the right to submit Your Content and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights or contain unlawful material. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your CV.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Upload content that is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, or that impersonates another person.
  • Upload someone else's personal information without a lawful basis or their permission.
  • Attempt to break, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or other users' data.
  • Use the Service to send spam or to harvest data about others.
  • Misuse the AI features to generate misleading or deceptive content.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or put the Service or other users at risk.

5. AI-generated content and accuracy

CVPilot uses AI to parse, enhance, and tailor your CV. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading, and it may occasionally invent details. You are responsible for reviewing every CV before you share, submit, or rely on it. CVPilot does not guarantee any particular outcome, including job interviews or offers, and is not a substitute for your own judgement.

6. Publishing and sharing

You control whether your CV is private or public. If you make a CV public, you are choosing to make the information it contains — including any contact details and location — accessible to anyone with the link. You are solely responsible for what you choose to publish. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.

7. Our intellectual property

The Service itself — including its software, design, and branding — belongs to CVPilot and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not give you any rights to our trademarks or to copy or resell the Service.

8. Beta and availability

The Service is offered on an evolving basis and may currently be in beta. Features may change, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service. We aim for reliable uptime but do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements or that results obtained from it will be accurate or reliable.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CVPilot will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, opportunities, or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms. On termination, the licences you granted us end, and we will delete Your Content as described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above, and material changes will be communicated by reasonable means. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction over any disputes, unless mandatory local law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
